This position is for a Supply Chain R&D Engineer at Intel's Fab Materials Organization (FMO), which is responsible for the development, procurement and implementation of Intel's Factory material needs worldwide.

The scope includes wet chemicals, CMP, Litho, Metals, and Dielectric materials as well as specialty gases and chemicals.

The candidate will be a part of a group of senior technologists in the Strategic Quality Engineering (SQE) in the Fab Materials organization.

As the Supply Chain RD Engineer, you will be responsible for but not limited to: 

Explore, innovate, develop and implement predictive and preventative quality control measures using big data analytics for Intel's Factory materials in concert with multiple business groups in Supply Chain, QnR, TD, and MSO. Understands semiconductor and Fab processes, Line Yield Analysis (LYA), and/or Integration knowledge. Excellent coordination skills between these groups. It is critical for the candidate not only to be an excellent technologist but also to be an effective communicator and influencer. As the scope of this position will explore unchartered territories, the candidate must be adaptable, a quick learner, and comfortable with explaining ideas to different audiences and executives while keeping the team motivated. Lead the project that accommodates a diverse group of technical experts in process, yield, and data science/ engineering. The candidate needs to be connected with the industry and academia to generate new ideas and intellectual property and present FMO within and outside of Intel via conferences and publications.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

The candidate must possess at least one of the following degrees plus the years of experience determined for each degree in the areas specified below  

  • Ph.D. in chemical, materials, or engineering, +5 years of fab process/defect metrology/yield/integration experience
  • Master's degree chemical, materials, or engineering, +7 years of fab process/defect metrology/yield/integration experience

This position is not eligible for Intel Immigration Sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with yield databases and data analytics is a plus
  • Fundamental knowledge of statistical software
  • Previous engagement with industry, SEMI Standards, and outside the organization.
