Georgia Tech Research Institute is seeking research engineers or technologists with expertise in supply chain management and logistics. Candidates will support Sensors and Electromagnetic Applications Laboratory's (SEALs) Command and Control Communications Office (C3PO) in the development of new business areas that will focus on the implementation of machine learning techniques in supply management chain (SCM) and technology in modern SCM implementation that can be applied to the maintenance of C2 platforms such as the E-3 AWACS. In addition, candidates will support SCM of high volume and variety of materials, supplies, and services to support current program requirements.
Research candidates must have working knowledge in applying research techniques in Supply Chain frameworks and data science in solving complex problems relating to strategy development, process modernization, acquisitions planning, prototype development, and system design. In addition to performing applied research, candidates are expected to support the technical needs and certifications by effectively communicating needs to enable on-time execution of tasks. Candidates must hold working knowledge in all aspects of the procurement cycle (cradle-to-grave) to include: developing, analyzing, and executing logistical plans, support, and documentation. As well, must be familiar with supply chain policies, procedures, and underlying federal, state, and/or local regulations concerning the purchase or shipment of goods, materials, or services.
