Raytheon Missiles and Defense (RMD) is seeking a Supply Chain Advisor (SCA). This fast-paced and challenging position is perfect for a dynamic individual with a strong background in government contracts. The right candidate will be experienced, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, adapt quickly and easily to change, and perform his or her work with the highest degree of integrity. He or she will be highly adept at finding innovative solutions that reconcile tensions between regulatory compliance and immediate business demands. In this high-profile, multi-faceted position, you will work in a matrix environment providing procurement advice and negotiation assistance to support RMD. You will work with top professionals across RMD and coordinate closely with Raytheons Office of General Counsel. In this role, you will not only advise Supply Chain employees but will also be key in educating and mentoring them. Consequently, you will be expected to know and understand the FAR and DFARS; draft terms and conditions that provide the best protection and benefit to the company; research legal issues for the organization or the General Counsel's office; advise on warranty interpretation, limitations of liability, termination for convenience or default, preservation of rights, innovations, intellectual property issues, and assist in negotiations regarding contract clauses and deviations from standard provisions; and review and advise SC on performance issues such as insolvency or the need for source code escrow. This positions preferred locations are Tucson, AZ, Tewksbury, MA, or Dallas, TX. Other locations may be acceptable dependent upon business needs. U.S. Citizenship is required as this position may need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.
To be considered for this role you must meet all of the following minimum requirements:
Bachelors Degree in supply chain, business, economics, law, computer science, IT, or related degree. Strongly prefer Juris Doctor (law degree)
8+ years of Supply Chain, Government contracts, commercial contracts, or legal experience, or a combination thereof
Experience managing contracts or subcontracts and in drafting and negotiating terms and conditions of solicitations, purchases, agreements, and licenses
Requires experience and knowledge of legal areas involving the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), supplements to the FAR, and government contract procurement processes
U.S. Citizenship
Highly Desired Education Experience & Skills:
Masters Degree is related field/strongly prefer applicant have a Juris Doctor (law degree)
Familiarity with Supply Chain (SC) processes and procedures
Knowledge of export/import law and issues is preferred
Secret Security Clearance
Significant legal, Government contracts, or SC experience in areas relevant to the required and desired skills mentioned above
Must be detailed oriented, have excellent problem-solving skills, and excellent ability to develop options and solutions that are practical and can be readily acted upon.
Must have excellent oral and written skills
Must be able to conduct legal research
Flexibility to travel to Raytheon sites when required
