Job Summary:
Our Global Supply Change Management organization has an opportunity for a talented professional to join our team in a critical Supplier Engineering role within who will be involved in all aspects of planning and executing the production of our wide range of weapon systems, from tactical missiles to strategic defense products. You will provide technical knowledge & process capability expertise to improve supplier performance. You will be involved in all phases of product life cycles, beginning with proposal development, new product development, advanced manufacturing initiatives and continuing through production implementation. You will ensure technical data packages are complete and accurate and that the supplier technical performance meets the objectives of quality, cost and schedule. You will drive Raytheon design requirements to improve manufacturing and quality capabilities of suppliers. You will initiate continuous and measurable design and process improvement of supplier hardware for affordability.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Communicate and translate the technical data package to suppliers
Conduct supplier engagements related to capability, capacity, opportunity and risk
Perform technical evaluations in support of cost and price analysis
Manage supplier requests for product and process changes
Manage product non-conformances; Drive root cause and corrective action
Prioritize and execute improvement opportunities
Communicate the technical health of our suppliers to stakeholders
Support travel as needed

This position can be an Engineer II, Manufacturing Engineering or Sr Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)

(Engineer II) - Minimum 2 years relevant experience such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, system engineering, manufacturing & quality systems, technical supplier management

  • (Sr Engineer) - Minimum 5 years relevant experience such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, system engineering, manufacturing & quality systems, technical supplier management

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Value:

  • Masters Degree in the following Majors: Business Administration, Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing/Process/Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science

  • Existing Secret Clearance

  • Experience in Statement of Work (SOW) generation

  • Experience with design and development of products that fall within the electrical or mechanical engineering discipline

  • Experience performing supplier assessment

  • Familiarity of Export/Import regulation
