Job Summary:
The Strategic Missile Defense Business Office has an immediate Senior Supervisor Cost Controls opportunity to provide support for SM-3 BLK IIA program efforts. SM-3 BLK IIA is part of the Strategic Missile Defense Portfolio with yearly sales of approximately $540M per year with a secure and stable long term business forecast. This role will require evaluation of high-level data and inputs provided by the team, with an emphasis on providing consistent analysis and support across multiple contracts in a contractually required earned value environment. Additionally, as the team primary, this role will focus heavily on customer relations, team learning, development and process improvements used to enhance the efforts of the broader SM3 BLKIIA Production Finance Team. This program offers a unique opportunity to connect and collaborate with the Customer on a continuing basis.

In this unique role, youll have the opportunity to manage competing priorities, balance a variety of tasks, and interact with various levels of management and customer counterparts. This role will be a technical analysis focal point for the Program Office and Control Account Managers (CAMs) to provide finance guidance. The ideal candidate for this role will be an excellent communicator with a strong desire to learn while being progressively challenged.
This position is an integral part of the SM3 BLK II Production finance team where tactical thinking, multitasking and individual initiative are key requirements. The effective candidate will be able to collaborate and partner with functional team members to provide program reporting/products to all levels of internal and external stakeholders and have direct oversight of up to 5 analysts.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  • Working with bookings/backlog, providing inputs to Annual Operating Plan (AOP), 5 year Long Range Planning (LRP), establishing initial baseline for new awards, coordinating and performing Estimates-at-Complete (EACs).
An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for additional years of experience as follows: Master's is equal to 2 years of experience.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or related
  • 5 years finance/accounting work experience
  • Experience interfacing and conducting business with various functional disciplines (Contracts, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain) in program development and execution
  • Experience with SAP Business Systems (APEX, PRISM, BW) or similar tools
  • Experience working in a matrix team environment with members at all levels of management
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. US citizenship is required as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance

  • Understanding of AOP and Long Range Planning, program forecasting and metrics
