Job Summary:
The Raytheon Missiles and Defense (RMD) Operations Engineering East team performs engineering activity required for program introduction into production, process development and production support. This includes the generation and update of the manufacturing and facility plans and performance of transition to build planning, along with Concurrent Engineering (CE). The team consists of industrial, manufacturing, test, and process engineers along with support. Operations Engineering East primarily supports manufacturing at the Andover MA campus, where we have over 1.7 million square feet of manufacturing, with nearly 5,000 employees across 9 buildings.

Operations Engineering (OPs Eng) East is seeking an enthusiastic, innovative team member to lead strategic initiatives for the directorate. This position will be responsible for the development and execution of projects across the various departments and areas. The lead will report to the OPs Eng Director and interact directly with operations leadership, engineering, quality and representatives from the various Operations functions. Projects include continuous improvement, talent development, training deployment, and communication initiatives. The role will be responsible for shaping the initiaitives with the various stakeholders, establishing project plans, tracking cost and schedule, and executing them successfully. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, be able to influence others to align with their vision, be able to build robust professional networks, and focus on project management and execution.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  • Establish project visions with stakeholders and clear goals / outputs
  • Lead the development and implementation of initatives focused on the 5 primary threads of : execution, continuous improvement, talent, training and communication
  • Responsible for planning, process development, technical risk management, and technical coordination between many disciplines.
  • Responsible for staffing, scheduling, cost, project management, escalating and resolving road blocks
  • Support the intergration and alignment of the projects
  • Establish tracking book metrics and processes, program reviews
  • Briefing senior leadership on initiative status and outputs
  • Align, coordinate, and execute projects in conjunction with RMD West teams

An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for 2 additional years of experience.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM), preferably in engineering
  • 8+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in project management
  • Experience in continuous improvement
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Value:
  • MS degree in Industrial, Eletrical, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering.

  • Established professional network with the extended RMD Operations / Engineering teams
