Job Summary:

The Short-Medium Ground-Based Defense (SMGBD) Product line and Stinger Program deliver the Stinger Missile a lightweight, self-contained air defense system that can be rapidly deployed to ground troops. Combat proven in four major conflicts, the weapon has more than 270 fixed and rotary wing intercepts to its credit. Its deployed in 19 nations and with all four major US military services.

The Stinger Taiwan/India FMS Bundle contract provides Missiles, Launchers and related support equipment and services to the Army/PM SHIELD customer for delivery to the end user. The Stinger Launcher and Support Equipment Integrated Product Team (IPT) lead is responsible for all facets of Launcher and Support Equipment production execution. This includes responsibility for managing all procurement (including RTX IOTs), manufacturing, technical, schedule, and cost performance and accountability for meeting program milestones. A unique aspect of this IPT Leads role will be to restart production of elements after 12 years of non-production to include establishing a strong supplier base and addressing obsolescence concerns. This position will require the ability to coordinate and effectively operate among multiple Raytheon Technologies' functions, at production execution levels and, occasionally, senior/executive leadership. This position will report to the Stinger Production Execution Lead.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Provide leadership to a cross functional production team (including key external and IOT suppliers) to achieve program cost/schedule/compliance objectives in support of contractual Stinger Program Missile and related hardware and non-hardware deliverables.
  • Meet contractual commitments including quality, technology, and schedule performance using the approved business model and management tools including EVMS, Risk Management, IPDS, PRISM, etc.
  • Use approved control systems and reports that accurately measure progress, identify potential problems in sufficient time for corrective action to be taken and ensures the meeting of contract commitments.
  • Manage regular internal status reviews including Gate Reviews, Program Management Reviews
  • Focus, evaluate, motivate and reward the production team, enabling them to achieve desired results
  • Willingness to travel domestic occasionally up to 25%
  • Supports a program organizational culture aligned with Raytheon Technologies' vision and values
Qualifications You Must Have:
  • 5+ years experience in project, Integrated Product Team, or program management, operations, and execution of production programs involving weapon systems
  • Experience with US and International Integrated Air Defense Weapons Systems
  • Experience with DOD design and production/mission assurance requirements
  • An active and in-scope Secret US security clearance

Qualifications We Value:
  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
  • Six Sigma Certified
  • Project Management or PMX Certification
  • Bachelors degree in engineering or related field
  • Proven capable of building strong teams
  • Experience with and understanding of export and import controls, compliance and licensing
  • Demonstrated experience in executing and meeting program CPI/SPI and on time delivery requirements
  • Direct experience and production of complex weapons systems or equivalent including supplier management/complexities and successfully introducing new production starts and obsolescence redesigns into the production baseline
  • Direct experience in program planning, budgeting, and tracking (EVMS) to cost and schedule
