Job Summary:

Operations engineering supports the Operations function within Raytheon Missiles and Defense (RMD). The Operations Engineering Staffing Liaison will have multiple strategic responsibilities in partnership with Human Resources and Talent Acquisition. This role will work directly with Operations Engineering leadership to effectively recruit, hire, and on-board world-class talent for RMD manufacturing sites throughout the continental United States.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  • Liaison with Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Directors/Department Managers/Section Managers across RMD
  • Coordinate all staffing requirements and job requisitions for RMD Operations Engineering
  • Maintain common job descriptions for all Operations Engineering functions and initiate the hiring process when a staffing need is identified
  • Coordinate phone screens and hiring manager interviews to include any activities for Hiring Events and/or Interview Days
  • Coordinate activities related to on-boarding to ensure positive integration for new hires
  • Coordinate activities for new hire start dates, asset orders and processing of employee transactions in SPEED
  • Coordinate and lead the Operations Engineering onboarding and integration team, including training new employee ambassadors
  • Conduct exit/departmental feedback interviews and compile metrics to develop proactive measures to improve retention
  • Coordinate Operations Engineering participation in leadership development programs
  • Coordinate and lead staffing meetings for Operations Engineering leadership, including tracking current manpower needs, manpower forecasting, and recruiting/staffing plans for the organization
  • Collect monthly staffing metrics and analyze data for trends, opportunities for improvement and strategic plans
  • Serve as a member of the Operations Engineering DE&I committee
  • Conduct weekly status meetings with Talent Acquisition recruiters
This position can be Principal Specialist or Lead Specialist I depending on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Principal Specialist Staffing Liaison
  • Bachelors degree or additional 2 years of relatable experience may be substituted for each 1 year of college or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum 3 years experience
  • Five (5) years of professional experience in Business, Communications, Manpower Planning, Project Management, Operations Management or other related disciplines
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance within 1 year of employment. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Lead Specialist I - Staffing Liaison
  • Bachelors degree or additional 2 years of relatable may be substituted for each 1 year of college or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum 5 years experience
  • Eight (8) years of professional experience in Business, Communications, Manpower Planning, Project Management, Operations Management or other related disciplines
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance within 1 year of employment. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
