Apple's Online Retail Analytics team is looking for a talented technical program manager who is passionate about crafting, implementing, and supporting production machine learning solutions that directly and measurably impact Apple and its customers. Apple has a tremendous amount of data, and we have just scratched the surface in pattern detection, anomaly detection, predictive modeling, and optimization across our online store. In this position, you will help drive strategy and development of our Online Store machine learning programs and lead strategic projects on a fast-paced team impacting all parts of Apple's ecosystem.

This position is based in Austin, TX.

Technical program managers design and deliver process and analytic solutions that have a strategic impact for Apple. They drive decision automation that allows Apple to execute with greater speed, control, efficiency, and scale. They help realize business opportunity and balance operational tradeoffs through data science. Most importantly, they allow Apple to provide exceptional service to each and every one of its users. Our Technical Program Managers accomplish this by providing leadership across functional teams to conceptualize, build, and deliver automated decision analytics and forensic analysis. This requires continuous problem solving, rapid learning, and an innovative mindset. It also requires discipline, patience, and self-awareness as you work with many different business and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities include:
Plan and drive cross-functional projects with business partners
Work collaboratively with our team of data scientists, data analysts, and program managers
Develop partnerships with key business managers across a variety of teams across Apple, including finance, operations, engineering, and corporate security
Translate business needs into initiatives with well-defined business requirements
Identify new business opportunities and develop solutions that balance impact, cost, resourcing, timeline, success likelihood, and analytic risk
Develop and prioritize analytic development projects
Manage business critical metrics
Effectively communicate project status and analytic results with various levels of the organization and shift rapidly between communication styles

Education & Experience
BS / MS in mathematics, computer science, engineering or related technical field a plus
