Job Description

Come and join us. Intel is seeking highly qualified candidates to join Barefoot Switching Division (BXD) as a Sr. Systems Engineer. BXD is part of the Connectivity Group (CG) in Intel's Network & Edge Group (NEX), and we're looking for motivated, passionate, and talented technical sales leaders to join the team. BXD is a strong, vibrant cross-site team which helps drive Intel's Ethernet technology and products to position Intel Tofino as the switching platform of choice the Cloud, Communications, and Data Center deployments.

As a Sr. Systems Engineer, you will be working closely with BXD Business Development Managers and the Intel Field Sales teams responsible for influencing the adoption of Connectivity Group (CG) products and technologies. We are looking for an experienced system engineering professional who can create technical awareness and establish thoughtful leadership for CG products used in targeted applications and vertical markets such as cloud, telecom, enterprise and embedded. You will be an integral part of BXD supporting OEMs, (Original Equipment Manufacturer) ODMs (Original Design Manufacturer), channel partners and end customers who build, resell or consume solutions with BXD/CG product content.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Customer and Field-Team engagement.
- Provide design assistance, examine customer problems and provide suggestions on optimal ways to use Intel products.
- Identify and develop new opportunities within accounts.
- Participate in developing technical account plans/strategy.
- Understand competitors' strengths and weaknesses relative to the appropriate technical strategy.
- Provide input into customer RFQ/RFIs.
- Facilitate and participate in regular CG/Field sync meetings.
- Participate and provide technical support for customer Marcom activities PoCs, demos, product training, events, etc.
- Provide technical feedback via Business Unit (BU) engagement.
- Support customer feedback forums in support BU milestones or strategic objectives POPL, Arch Summit, PoCs, etc.
- Participate in the preparation for CG Executive meetings & Executive Business Reviews EBRs.

The Network & Edge Group (NEX) drives new products technologies from high-end co-processors for supercomputers to solutions for big data and intelligent devices. The group is a worldwide organization that develops the products and technologies that power 9 of every 10 servers sold worldwide


Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

 

Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 9+ years of industry work experience, or a Master's degree Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related plus 6+ years of industry work experience.
- 6+ years of experience in sales support which include business plan development, account planning, account management, technology mapping to business issues, sales pitch and demo delivery.
- 5+ years of experience in technical sales activities which include messaging, competitive and market segment analysis, account penetration planning, direct sales, and technical leadership.
- 5+ years of experience in hardware/software systems or semiconductor industry
- Capacity to perform travel up to 30 percent

Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- 10+ years successful experience selling 2 or more of the following: switching silicon, dataplane solutions, networking equipment, or networking software
- 10+ years of experience with Network Operating Systems (NOS) such Arista EOS, Cisco IOS or NX-OS, or SONiC
- 5+ years of experience in data center technologies such as VXLAN, EVPN, routing and switching protocols
(such as BGP, LLDP, LACP, xSTP, etc)
- 3+ years of experience using development of SDK for Data Networking ASICs
- 3+ years of experience in scripting languages such as Python/Bash/GO for Test Automation
- 3+ years successful experience selling to Communication Service Providers or Cloud Service Providers

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado:
$127,330.00-$216,740.00
