Position Summary: The Weapons & Platforms Center (W&PC) within the Systems Integration and Test Directorate for Raytheon Missiles & Defense (RMD) in Tucson, AZ is seeking candidates for the role of Section Lead for Strategic Missile Defense and Advance Technologies Department responsible for integration, verification and field flight test support, cost, and schedule oversight over the products developed by members of his/her section The selected candidate will lead an engineering section performing planning, design, development, integration and verification. The candidate will perform in the role of direct supervisor to all section members with responsibilities including leading section members through the performance development process, career guidance, problem resolution, training plans, absence management and timecard approvals. The Section Head is also responsible for coordinating with all associated programs to manage manpower needs, address technical issues, assist with independent reviews and provide general functional support. The candidate also performs technical, cost, and schedule oversight over the products developed by members of his/her section.
Please Note: This position can be a Sr. Systems Engineer II or Principal Systems Engineer based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position Required Skills:
A minimum of eight (8) years of technical/engineering experience with emphasis in flight test planning and execution
Experience with project and workload management skills to utilize resources effectively to satisfy demanding internal customers and implementation schedules
Working knowledge of Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
Experience in a Customer" oriented environment.
Active DoD issued Secret Clearance
Experience in a leadership role.
Experience presenting to leadership and peers.
Desired Skills:
Possess the ability to serve as an organizational spokesperson
Proposal Development
Familiar with Matlab, Labview and Lumistar
Required Education: BS in an Engineering field (Preferred Majors: Electrical, Aero, Mechanical, or Systems
