Job Description

As a Sr. Systems Debug Architect in CCG's Client Platform and Silicon Architecture group you will be responsible for defining the end-to-end system debug architecture for Core and Converged Mobility platforms.

You will provide technical direction for platform, SoC, and component design activities, influences the shaping of future products/solutions by significantly contributing to the architecture and technology employed throughout the compute continuum. You will also provide multilayered technical expertise for next-generation initiatives.

  • Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills, drive for continuous learning, as well as good written and verbal communication skill

  • The ability to independently develop specifications, consult partners on debug implementation, evaluate test plans and provide feedback

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Working with the planning team to develop System Debug Market Requirements and Collaborate with Platform/SoC architecture and implementation teams to define debug features in client platforms.

  • Creating Product Requirements and author the Debug Solutions Architecture Specification (SAS), which addresses hardware, software, and firmware required at platform level

  • Creating Debug IP contracts with the support of the hardware design team, debug IP architects, and external IP partners. Advice our partners on implementation details.

  • Providing input to the platform design guide, the Reference Validation Platform (RVP) creation, and drive Technical Readiness (TR) work.

  • Reviewing of board schematics - Reference Validation Platform (RVP) and Software Development System (SDS) schematics to verify debug functionality.

  • Supporting Client Platform validation to ensure that the Platform Debug Functional Requirements are validated and follow-up with the silicon validation team

  • Working with the debug tools organization and 3rd party tool vendors to design the corresponding hardware abstraction layer, making the debug tool independent from the underlying hardware implementation.

  • Innovating by driving customer debug solutions end-to-end


Qualifications

You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualification:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Master of Science degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering with 9+ years of Industry experience

  • 3+ years of experience with debugging of Intel chipsets and/or CPUs.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Knowledge of System Debug tools and familiarity with logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers, in-target probes (ITP) and Lauterbach Debug Tools

  • Knowledge of PC System Architecture and a good understanding of the debug hardware IPs (Intel and 3rd party) and software stack (e.g., OpenCV, PythonSV, Intel System Studio).

  • Knowledge of SoC HW debug infrastructure, e.g. ARM CoreSight, Tessent Embedded Analytics and Intel DCI (Direct Connect Interface)/ Intel Trace Hub
