Job Description

As an integral part of Intel's new IDM2.0 strategy, we are establishing Intel Foundry Services , a fully vertical, standalone foundry business, reporting directly to the CEO. IFS will be a world-class foundry business and major provider of US and European-based capacity to serve customers globally. Intel Foundry Services will be differentiated from other Foundry offerings with a combination of leading-edge packaging and process technology, committed capacity in the US , Europe and globally. and a world-class IP portfolio that customers can choose from including x86 cores, graphics, media, display, AI, interconnect, fabric and other critical foundational IP, along with Arm and RISC-V ecosystem IPs.

Oversees definition, design, verification, and documentation for SoC (System on a Chip) development. Determines architecture design, logic design, and system simulation. Defines module interfaces/formats for simulation. Performs Logic design for integration of cell libraries, functional units and subsystems into SoC full chip designs, Register Transfer Level coding, and simulation for SoCs. Contributes to the development of multidimensional designs involving the layout of complex integrated circuits. Performs all aspects of the SoC design flow from highlevel design to synthesis, place and route, timing and power to create a design database that is ready for manufacturing. Analyzes equipment to establish operation infrastructure, conducts experimental tests, and evaluates results. May also review vendor capability to support development.


Qualifications

This position provides an exciting opportunity to join the Intel Foundry Services (IFS) silicon solutions engineering (SSE) team focused on developing innovative I/O and SOC products in collaboration with leading data center customers.

A design engineer owns one or more architectural functional blocks to perform all related tasks:
- Perform logic design, Register Transfer Level (RTL) coding
- Participate in the development of Microarchitecture specifications for the Logic components.
- Provide IP integration support to SoC customers and represents RTL team.
- Implement RTL in System Verilog, validating the design,
- Synthesizing the design, static timing analysis and perform RTL to Netlist Equivalence Check high-level Architecture through to the details of timing.
- Perform analysis and trade-offs with modularity, scalability, DFX requirements, power, area, and performance

We are looking for enthusiastic individual with problem solving abilities, communication skills and a desire to learn. Technically, a solid foundation of digital design (System Verilog) and object oriented programming is desired but not required. Minimum Qualifications:


- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related disciplines with 6+ years of experience in the following area:

  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as TCL or Python

  • Strong background in RTL Design and System Verilog Assertions

  • Working experience with logic design simulators (eg VCS/Verdi)

  • Experience in SoC integration and ASIC architecture

  • Experience with System Verilog and at least 1 procedural programming language (C, C++, Python etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Linux experience

  • Low Power Design using UPF

  • Synthesis and STA

  • Familiarity with PCIe is a highly desired

  • Debugging and problem solving skills

  • Project based teamwork

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado:
$130,020.00-$195,420.00
