Job Summary:
This is an operational level leadership/managerial position responsible for the Raytheon Missiles & Defense (RMD) Asset Protection program across the business. Responsibilities include implementation and compliance with all US Government and Raytheon security requirements, provide guidance and direction (goals & objectives) to Physical Security personnel, coordination with external and internal customers on physical security requirements, development security-relevant business continuity and survivability plans and programs, and interfacing with Raytheon Senior/Executive management with respect to business security activities. Is responsible for oversight of the contracted guard force services throughout the Eastern states, as well as leading a proprietary, represented guard force operating at myriad sites across the New England states.

Is responsible for conducting annual site security assessments at all RMD East facilities and developing multi-year strategies to reduce risk by enhancing the physical security attributes of the various facilities. Develop, implement and manage physical security related projects. Responsible for the RMD East Workplace Violence Prevention and Intervention program and will lead the RMD East Threat Management team, working in close collaboration with Human Resources, Labor Relations and the Office of General Counsel. Will work closely with the Raytheon Business Resilience and Crisis Response team to develop and implement Active Shooter training and exercises.

Accomplishes human resource performance objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; enforcing policies and procedures. Achieves system security operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  1. Plans, develops and implements security programs to safeguard personnel, intellectual property and facilities.
  2. Collaborates with other organizations to develop effective workplace violence mitigation and response strategies.
  3. Determines risks associated with the facility protection and business operations and develops programs to manage risk in a cost-effective manner.
  4. Implements the Anti-Terrorism program; and the direct collaboration with front line leadership of the guard forces.
  5. Responsible for hiring, training, evaluating, mentoring, and disciplining members of the armed proprietary security organization.
  6. Physical Security liaison to Site Incident Support Team.
  7. Serve as the Raytheon leader for a local government and private sector Threat Working Group (TWG).
  8. Manage Raytheon emergency response in coordination with Fire, Preparedness, Explosive Safety and other key stakeholders.
  9. Follow up, accountability, and communication to include reviewing and reporting on progress related to the timely execution of projects and plans.
  10. Participate in and conduct staff meetings with direct reports and business partners.
  11. Identify opportunities to make actionable verbal/written recommendations to internal and external stakeholders regarding physical security and asset protection strategies to drive efficiencies and improved performance.
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require a U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance on day one of employment.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelors Degree in Business Management, Security and/or Risk Management, Government Policy, Information Management, Criminal Justice, or other related field of study
  • An active and in-scope Top Secret US security clearance
  • At least 10 years related security or law enforcement progressive leadership experience
  • Experience collaborating with other businesses or government entities to develop and maintain progressive security programs
  • Experience creating a team environment and rallying a team around a common mission, vision and goals
  • Experience working effectively and comfortably with internal and external customers of all levels
  • Strong leadership experience to include organization change & transformation
  • Knowledge of DoD classified program requirements as illustrated in the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM)
  • Experience leading an armed response force (security, law enforcement or military)
  • Manage multiple short and long-term projects with cross functional teams
Qualifications We Value:
  • Masters Degree in Business Management, Security and/or Risk Management, Government Policy, Information Management, Criminal Justice, or other related field of study
  • Strong qualitative, analytic and business acumen skills
  • Experience participating on, or leading committees or advisory boards
  • Ability to obtain a LEOSA certification
  • Experience conducting, leading and/or managing Investigations
  • Experience with workplace violence and/or threat management programs
  • Experience conducting Threat, Risk & Vulnerability Assessments
  • Strong written/oral communication skills
  • Experience applying the National Incident Management System, Incident Command System (ICS) to real world events
  • Progressive security management or law enforcement management experience in a large corporation or organization
  • Ability to develop and implement cost effective, proactive security programs with an emphasis on compliance with the National Industrial Security Program and internal customer requirements
  • Ability to develop and maintain close working relationships with government, industry security, emergency management, law enforcement and members of the intelligence community

Clearance Information: This position requires a U.S. Top Secret Security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance.
