Job Description

The Accelerated Computing Systems and Graphics (AXG) is chartered with delivering high performance computing (HPC) and graphics solutions (IP, Software, Systems), for both integrated and discrete segments across client, enterprise, and data center.  HPC represents the technology engine for AXG making it both financially significant and strategically important to AXG.


Come join the High-Performance Computing (HPC) business team as a Senior Product Manager, focused on defining and delivering incremental value to Intel's data center products and technologies. Participate in solving customers problems through technical collaborations with our OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and CSP (Cloud Service Provider) partners and particularly, developing our Accelerated Computing strategy both for High Performance Computing segments.


Responsibilities may include, but not be limited to the following:

  • Driving requirements and feature commitments into products and execution

  • Managing the entire product lifecycle from concept to end-of-life

  • Continuing to build on expertise on market trends and technology driving the HPC industry and applying that expertise for road mapping and influencing across the broad set of Intel server ingredients

  • Setting and executing HPC accelerated computing product strategy for delivery to internal and external stakeholders

  • Developing HPC-specific collateral and become a Trusted Advisor to the Sales team and HPC customers

  • Creating differentiation by recognizing and driving new collaboration opportunities for programs that accelerate Intel product adoption in the market through OEMs and CSPs


Knowledge and Behavioral Traits Sought: 

  • Expert on a broad set of server ingredients and customer competence.  Considers HPC in everything done, and direct others to come in for the deeper technical dives

  • Strong analytical skills for identifying business and technical future trends

  • Product lifecycle management with the ability to train partners in products/solutions

  • Demonstrated track record leading major projects in a highly matrixed environment

  • Knowledge of technical aspects of HPC industry

  • Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills

  • Strong leadership skills and an ability to work autonomously

  • Resourceful, creative problem-solver


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Electrical / Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or another directly related technology field, and 9+ years experience working in the high-tech industry as an analyst/product/program management role, along with

Work Experience Must Include One, or More of the Following:

  • Responsibility for interfacing with external customers and/or vendors

  • Developing product strategies

  • Owning long-range planning (LRP) for a business segment, and market modeling

  • Developing requirements and building business cases for features, along with participation in defining new product lines

  • Experience responding to competitive challenges

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA)

  • HPC / Cloud hardware and/ or software experience
