Position Summary: The Weapons & Platforms Center (W&PC) within the Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) Directorate for Raytheon Missiles & Defense (RMD) in Tucson, AZ is seeking candidates for the role of Section Lead for the Naval Weapons department. The selected candidate will lead an engineering section performing planning, design, development, integration and verification. The candidate will perform in the role of direct supervisor to all section members with responsibilities including leading section members through the performance development process, career guidance, problem resolution, training plans, work/life balance management and timecard approvals. The Section Lead is also responsible for coordinating with all associated programs to manage manpower needs, address technical issues, assist with independent reviews and provide general functional support. The candidate also performs technical, cost, and schedule oversight over the products developed by members of his/her section.
Required Skills:
A minimum of eight (10) years of technical/engineering experience with emphasis in integration, test and flight test efforts
Experience with project and workload management skills to utilize resources effectively to satisfy demanding internal customers and implementation schedules
Working knowledge of Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
Experience in a Customer" oriented environment
Active DoD issued Secret Clearance
Experience in a leadership roles
Experience managing personnel topics/issues
Desired Skills: Possess the ability to serve as an organizational spokesperson
Experience mentoring engineers
Proposal Development
Good communication skills
Knowledge of company policies and functional processes
Required Education: BS in an Engineering field (Preferred Majors: Electrical, Aero, Mechanical, or Systems).
