The Core Subcontracts and Procurement Team is looking for an experienced Sr. Principal Subcontracts Specialist to lead in the sourcing and acquisition of materials and services, manage supplier performance and manage the entire subcontract purchase order life cycle for DoD, FMS and DCS customers. Qualified candidate may be remote/telecommute at management discretion.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Ensuring accurate and complete requirements for materials and services are communicated to suppliers
Analyze supplier quotes/ proposals and perform price analysis
Negotiates reasonable prices based on price and cost analysis
Managing and reporting on supplier performance in the areas of cost, quality and schedule performance
Compile and analyze industry, market and company data to select potential suppliers
Prepare and issue requests for proposal based on required technical, quality, delivery, and FAR requirements
Contributes to improvement to processes, systems or products
Leads cross functional team in management of supplier performance
Provides guidance, coaching and training to other employees within the department
Travel up to 25% may be required
Required Education, Skills & Experience:
Bachelors degree in supply chain, engineering, business, or related field
At least Eight (8) years experience in procurement, or a combination of experience in procurement with engineering, manufacturing operations, finance, or quality
Experience with /Knowledge of FAR/ DFAR acquisition procedures and requirements
Experience with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel and Powerpoint
U.S. Citizenship
Desired Education, Skills & Experience:
Masters Degree in supply chain, business, finance, engineering or related
Leadership or supervisory role with experience in procurement, supply chain or related business
Experience with Firm Fixed price and cost plus contracting
Previous DoD experience
Knowledge of import/ export compliance requirements for international business partners
Working knowledge of ITAR rules and regulations
Experience procuring complex assemblies for military applications
Experience in negotiating terms and conditions
Easily adapts between strategic and tactical tasks
Ability to influence team decisions and outcomes
Secret security clearance
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Six sigma certification
This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization. 172190
