Raytheon Missile Defense (RMD) is looking for successful candidate to be responsible for supporting the Supply Chain Proposal activities for the Phalanx Program. Working at the front end of the business, the Material Program Manager (MPM) will work supply chain strategy along with the program leads, develop sourcing and leverage strategies, develop supply chain resource inputs to the proposal, and secure resources to price BOMs. The MPM will represent supply chain at gate reviews, and brief the Supply Chain leadership team. Key responsibilities include; supplier pricing, supplier management, cost/ schedule/ quality management performance, supplier assessments, material sourcing strategies (MPS), leading overall proposal activities and developing supply chain labor BOE estimates. This individual will develop material program plans (MPP) and hand off programs to the execution team upon award. The MPM will use R6 Sigma, and critical thinking skills to propose sound and innovative business solutions to increase operational efficiencies to insure business area and program success. This individual should be a self-starter and someone that is flexible and is able to work independently at a higher level. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.
Other MPM duties include but are not limited to:
Execute make/buy/where process
Develop and execute risk/opportunity plans to meet program objectives
Work closely with Engineering, Quality and Operations to create common schedule based on Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
Collaborate with supply chain functions for support as needed
Monitor performance metrics and proactively acts to address program and functional issues
Required Education, Skills & Experience:
Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics or related is required
8+ years of applicable experience including direct experience managing and leading supply chain activities in government and commercial defense markets
Experience with IPDS supply chain processes and/or related systems subcontract management, logistics, and asset management
Experience with supply chain processes and related systems
Program and/or functional experience managing material (SCM, Engineering Program/Integrated Product Team (IPT)
Working knowledge of customer flow through requirements such as FAR/DFARS, ITAR, offset, FCPA, public law, quality, warranty and performance bonds
U.S. Citizenship
Desired Education, Skills & Experience:
Masters Degree in Supply Chain, Business or related
Six Sigma Certified
Skills and the ability to lead in an IPT environment
Excellent risk management methodologies and problem solving techniques
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project)
