Graphics & Throughput Computing Hardware Engineering (GTCHE) is responsible for delivering industry-leading GPU (3D, media, compute, and display) hardware, intellectual property (IP) blocks and system-on-a-chip (SoC) products for discrete graphics and throughput computing. We strive to lead the industry through continuous innovation and world-class engineering. We work closely with partners across Intel and do not let any organizational boundary get in the way of solving problems. We are looking for a Pre-Silicon Validation Engineer to join our team.

In this position, you will be working as part of a SOC Pre-silicon Verification Team for current and next generation Graphics Products.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Develop Pre-Silicon functional validation tests to verify system will meet design requirements.
  • Create test plans for RTL validation, define and run system simulation models, and find and implement corrective measures for failing RTL tests.
  • Analyze and use results to modify testing.

Minimum skills and experience that will get you noticed:

Bachelors degree in computer/electrical engineering or related field  with 4+ years of experience. Or a masters in the same fields with 2+ years of experience.

Your experience must be in the following:

  • Pre-Si Verification experience
  • Digital logic design, chip architecture OR  microarchitecture
  • Verification of design blocks (IP) for system-on-chip (SoC) components
  • System Verilog and OVM or UVM based verification methodologies

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • IO interconnect, memory controllers, CPU architecture
  • Considerations for performance, power and cost optimization
  • Advanced verification techniques such as formal and assertions
  • Strong debugging skills in simulation/emulation
  • 5+ Years of emulation experience
  • 10+ Years of SoC Verification experience
  • PCIe Express Protocol understanding
  • Programming in UVM/C/C++ for modeling and stimulus generation
