Job Summary:

Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) Value Stream (VS) Manufacturing Engineers provide off-shift general floor support across multiple product lines. They will interface between different disciplines (Operations, Ops Engineering, Test Engineering, Quality) and different manufacturing areas (Product Value Stream, Surface Mount Technology, Test, Conformal Coat) during the product build cycle in CCA. Attention to detail, excellent written and oral communication skills, and an organized and innovative approach to problem root cause and corrective action (RC/CA) will contribute to success in the role. The daily responsibilities for a successful second shift engineer will include, but will not be limited to; resolution of production issues, process improvement and cycle time reduction projects, identification of hours per unit (HPU) recovery opportunities, and development and update of production process documentation.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  • Reviewing/updating Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) including assembly instructions and workflow/routing
  • Providing real-time technical support to manufacturers and fabricators
  • Dispositioning non-conforming material with root cause and corrective action analysis as required
  • Driving Continuous Improvement through process improvements to improve cycle time, reduce ergonomic risk to assemblers, automate, reduce costs (both direct and indirect) using RTX CORE principles and data driven decision making
  • Leading, or participating in RC/CA investigations to prevent recurrence
  • Conducting safety / ergonomic assessments
  • Improvement opportunities and engagements with Program teams and/or next higher assembly (NHA) factory teams
An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for 2 additional years of experience.

Qualification You Must Have:
  • Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) preferably in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or Applied Physics.
  • 5+ years of Manufacturing/Operations experience
  • 3+ years of Manufacturing/Operations experience with an Advanced Degree
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Value:
  • Experience with supporting a CCA assembly production floor, (process and/or quality focus).
  • Knowledge and experience with ANSI J-STD-001 Class 3
  • Experience with related military and industry standards and specifications
  • Experience in applying Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, RTX CORE
  • Experience in DFMA principles
  • Strong organization skills with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
