The Xe Architecture and IP Engineering team is responsible for delivering industry-leading GPU (3D, Media, Compute, and Display) hardware, intellectual property (IP) blocks and system-on-a-chip (SoC) products for discrete graphics and throughput computing. We strive to lead the industry through continuous innovation and world-class engineering. We work closely with partners across Intel and do not let any organizational boundary get in the way of solving problems. We are looking for Sr. Graphics Hardware Engineers to join our team.

In this position you will help us with the following responsibilities:

  • Performance Verification of Intel graphics cores, focusing on 3D, Compute and Memory Fabric.
  • You will ensure platform and its components have the best performance and power balance specifically focusing on graphics hardware components. Responsibilities include developing test plans, tests and verifying the design meets the performance specifications. The job requires you to work on RTL simulation and emulation models, execute synthetic and real-world workloads and analyze performance results, debug performance failures and work with designers and architects to resolve them.
  • Define performance verification architecture/strategy/test plans for next generation GPU Ips.
  • Build cohesive performance analysis with full system verification strategy
  • Learn from past programs escapes and address verification gaps to improve IP quality.
  • Research and development of next generation platform designs to continually improve the IP performance.

Minimum skills and experience:

You must have Bachelor's degree Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years of industry experience.  Or a  have a master's degree in the above-mentioned specializations with 6+ years of industry experience

Your experience should be in the following areas:

  • Experience in Logic design, architecture, verification
  • Experience using Emulators/FPGA to do pre-silicon validation
  • Using a design simulator, functional coverage concepts and implementation
  • Developing test content, execution, and debug

Preferred skills and experience:

  • Experience with Graphics IP architectures, Performance Verification
  • Experience with Scripting (Python, Ruby, PERL)
  • Working knowledge of SV assertions, coverage point coding
  • Well versed in using simulator tools for debug
  • Knowledge of Pre-Si emulation flows, working with FSDB files, etc.
  • Familiarity with the ASIC design flow and working knowledge of 3D Graphics is a plus
