The Whole Life Engineering Directorate (WLED) is made up of several disciplines whose main objective is to influence hardware and systems early in their life cycle to assure effective operation, reliability, maintainability and economical ownership by the customer and end user.
The Saudi Hawk and Patriot Logistics & Sustainment Services (HPLSS) Contract is seeking a motivated candidate to serve as an in-country Electronic Equipment Calibration Technician.
The position will be based out of the Raytheon office in Jeddah, KSA and the individual will work closely with the Sustainment team at the customers military base in Jeddah.
This can be an accompanied assignment.
Deployment to KSA will be coordinated through Raytheon International Enterprise Support Services (RIESS).
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Calibrates and/or repairs all electronic test measurement and diagnostic equipment supported by the calibration laboratory that are covered under the currently approved TAA
Performs precision calibration of state of the art electronic equipment as required
Develops test jigs, fixtures and special test setups for calibration of newly acquired or special purpose equipment when required
Helps to develop new procedures and methods of performing calibration on new equipment utilizing the numerous standards available in the calibration facility
Provides training to laboratory and site personnel on new equipment, as required
Provides on-the-job training (OJT) to technicians in electronic theory, the use of electronic standards and their application to equipment calibration
Required to make site visits for training, evaluation and technical assistance as needed
Assists the section officer in enforcing safety policies, procedures, and standards
Performs other related duties as required or directed by the section officer
Required Qualifications:
A minimum of four (4) years experience in calibration of electronic equipment
A strong background in digital electronics and RF / microwave technology
Capable of interpreting technical manuals and technical drawings as they apply the calibration and repair of electronic test measurement and diagnostics equipment
Self-starter; capable of working independently and learning quickly
Excellent English language verbal and written communication skills
Existing Secret clearance or able to obtain
Desired Qualifications:
Experience (formal or informal) in training others on how to perform tasks
Experience in the operation of industrial or military Sustainment (Maintenance / Repair) activities
Proficiency in Excel and standard database use
Experience working with International customers
Understanding and respectful of foreign cultures and customs
Knowledge of the Arabic language, both written and spoken.
Ability to deploy to KSA for a 2 year timeframe
Education Requirements:
Bachelor or Associate Degree in Engineering or Applied Science. OrEquivalent electronic experience on the basis of two (2) additional years of experience in lieu (1) year of higher education
