Job Summary:
The Test Equipment and Environments Center (TE&EC) is within the Systems Integration & Test directorate at RMD. The Test Equipment and Environments Center (TE&EC) includes all of the engineering disciplines responsible for systems design & test on all Raytheon Missile Defense (RMD) products. Our engineers are responsible for all elements of the development lifecycle for test including: test requirements, test system design, flight simulations, hardware-in-the-loop, computer-in-the-loop, advanced engineering prototyping technology, flight operations for manned and unmanned vehicles, environmental testing, environmental characterization and engineering laboratory management. We are hands-on, designing with the latest technology and tools, and integrate state of the art test solutions with the most advanced engineering systems in the world.
The Test Equipment and Environments Center is seeking a Sr. Electrical Engineer I on our Tests Systems Engineer team (TSE). As a member of the Test Systems Engineer (TSE) team, you will assist with the development of Test Requirements, workbench/DSI models and master test list for products throughout full lifecycle such as Unit Under Test (UUT) development, subassembly to All Up Round (AUR) tests. You must be a systems thinker, able to master interactions and impacts of decisions at the next level up from their immediate project. Proper requirements management and traceability is critical for leveraging future reuse of Test Equipment network (TEn) requirements and models. Basic knowledge of system architecture allows better support for test strategies.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  • Developmental test processes, test set-ups, test equipment design, verification and validation of product hardware
  • Collaborate across all engineering teams to define, design, and document Test Equipment network (TEn) capabilities and requirements with an eye towards how prime hardware should be tested at different levels
  • Managing schedules and resources to meet assigned milestones

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of five (5) years of experience directly related engineering experience
  • Two (2) or more years of working knowledge of Test Systems design, development, integration and verification activities across the product lifecycle
  • Two (2) or more years of experience in test systems requirements definition
  • One (1) or more years of experience with Electro-Optical and RF systems
  • Previous work experience with Systems Engineering standard views such as Block Definition Diagrams, Context Diagrams, Sequence Diagrams
The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Value:
  • Preferred Masters or Ph.D. in the aforementioned degree
  • Experience performing testability analysis on circuit cards and other assemblies.
  • Experience designing circuit cards, to include schematic capture, layout, and manufacturing techniques.
  • Experience in developing Integrated Test and Evaluation Plans.
  • Experience using Model Based Engineering (MBE) processes, tools, and techniques, with Rhapsody and IBM Rational Manager preferred.
  • Experience with DSI eXpress, Unified Modeling Language (UML), and/or Systems Modeling Language (SysML).
  • Experience on proposal teams writing or supporting Basis of Estimates (BOE).
  • Knowledge of Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs) and Manufacturing Readiness Levels (MRLs) is a plus.
