Job Description and Tasks:

Participate as an Individual Contributor supporting program activities including serving as the Responsible Engineering Authority for programs. These responsibilities include:

Execution of assigned program related tasks, including leading gate reviews, design reviews and sustaining maintenance and support Continuation & enhancement of the design and maintenance process across all related programs including Technical Data Package updates.

Make critical engineering judgments with minimal review by supervisor and/or an outside subject matter expert with regard to failures, new designs, and/or integration/verification decisions specific to the TDD itself .

Lead a technical team in the effective and efficient execution of program tasks, collaborating well with other engineering disciplines and factory personnel to accomplish work as thoroughly yet efficiently as possible.

Please note: This position can be a Sr. Electrical Engineer I or Sr. Electrical Engineer II based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience, and responsibility requirements for the position.

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.

Required Skills:
US Citizenship required.

  • Minimum of 4 years professional engineering experience with the technological aspects of RF/Radar systems design which could include:
    • Familiarity with system thinking in radar basic concepts.
    • Experience with RF Signal Processing, Digital Signal processing, HW/SW Integration & Test Process and Procedures.
    • Knowledgeable of RF/Radar analysis methods in the entire lifecycle of subsystems development from proposal & requirements through production support.
    • Demonstrate knowledge of advanced technical concepts in Radar systems and their application to larger work products.
    • Hardware/software integration and troubleshooting experience.
  • Strong problem solving skills with ability to proactively identify alternate solutions to overcome difficult technical challenges and develop plans for their execution.
  • Experience in preparing final documentation with minimal revision and review.

Desired Skills:
  • Masters/Ph. D degree in EE, Math or Physics in RF systems design.
  • Experience in RF Subsystems and a working understanding of architecture, design, and integration processes of target detection devices and proximity sensor electronics, algorithms, simulations and signal processing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop and present comprehensive technical briefings to peers and to program and customer leadership.
  • Ability to lead multi-disciplined engineering teams in order to develop and sustain RF products across the life cycle.
  • Experience with cost and schedule development for large RF system development efforts.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and assembly drawings.
  • Experience with Document change processes and tools including cPDM Windchill.
  • Ability to write, interpret and implement test requirements documents and test plans.
  • Ability to adjust and operate general test equipment: power supplies, scopes, DMMs.
  • Knowledge of Power PC, Altera FPGA, SHARC SW/FW loading.
  • Knowledge of JTAG Technologies tools.

Required Education (including Major):

B.S. Majors: EE, Math, Physics emphasis in RF/Radar principles
