Job Description

The Data Intelligence (DI) team is looking for a highly motivated individual with passion to drive Data Strategy and Governance for SNP, partnering with other Supply Chain and IT organizations. DI team is part of Supply Network Planning (SNP) organization within Customer Fulfillment Planning and Logistics (CPLG).

The Data Scientist will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Designing and championing Innovative analytical solutions to drive effectiveness and deliver against customer/partner goals
  • Driving data governance for SNP partnering with other (Manufacturing Supply Chain Organization) MSO and IT organizations to deliver a holistic and robust operating model
  • Leveraging key understanding of external analytics landscape and technology trends
  • Developing software, algorithms, and applications to apply mathematics to data, perform large-scale experimentation and build data-driven apps to translate data into intelligence, solve a variety of business problems and enable business strategy
  • Gathering and clarifying business requirements with existing stakeholders to understand the business problem, the existing as-is process, and the required to-be business processes to identify key value drivers of the process.
  • Engaging in process re-engineering, data modelling, data architecture and project management for business intelligence
  • Driving and managing execution of SNP use cases for reporting and dashboard needs
  • Using predictive modeling, statistics, Machine Learning, Data Mining, and other data analysis techniques to collect, explore, and extract insights from structure and unstructured data.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship. 
  • The candidate must possess at least one of the 2 following degrees, plus,  the years of experience determined for each degree in the areas of expertise specified below:

1- Bachelors degree in Mathematics or Computer Science or closely related field with 5+ years of experience.

2- Master's degree in Mathematics or Computer Science or closely related field with 4+ years of experience.

Expertise Areas:

  • The data and analytics space: Data strategy, analytics, visualizations, AI, ML, etc.
  • Internal business segment (stakeholders)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with statistical software with follow through to application.
  • Experience in Supply Chain data, data bases and systems.
  • Relational database structures, research methods, machine learning, Cloud based technologies, Big Data technologies (i.e. Hadoop , HBase, Lucene/Solr), analytics packages (i.e. R, Mahout, Matlab, Octave, Weka)
  • Scripting languages (i.e. Python, Perl)
  • Programing languages (i.e. Java, C/C++, SQL).
