The Sr. Contract Negotiation/Contract Manager will be responsible to provide sound contracts leadership to the New Type Submarine Project Contract with ATLAS, Germany within the Naval Surface and Undersea Systems/Naval Power Mission Area. The Sr. Contract Negotiator/Contract Manager will be responsible for contract management of all aspects of the contracting process including proposal preparation, fact finding, negotiation, contract administration, and contract closure. An important aspect of this role will also focus on supporting the Raytheon Anschtz program area to include Gate 4 Meeting Review process as well as initiating the corresponding Gate 4 workflow. The Contract Professional will support the program teams and customers to ensure that the program is executing to contract requirements (including cost, funding, schedule, and deliverables), use business acumen and program knowledge to understand program performance, provide guidance, and influence outcomes to achieve desired results. This role requires the skill to recognize contractual issues early in program performance implement solutions, carry to completion, while exercising good judgment with minimal supervision. This individual will adhere to company policies and procedures and their application of contract structures.

In this role the Contract Professional will additionally engage with the Naval Power Sr. Director and PAD Contract Leads to support monthly On Time Proposal and CPAR metric reporting, COVID-19 actions, and support a variety of RMD projects as the Naval Power Contracts representative. The Contract Professional will apply tenets of Raytheon Missile & Defense principles of Customer Focused Marketing to establish and maintain effective customer relationships based on professionalism, responsiveness, and ethical conduct.

This position may be located in Portsmouth, RI, Woburn, MA, Marlborough, MA, Tewksbury, MA or remotely. Regular travel will be required to the Portsmouth, RI facility if working remotely or at a different location.

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance within one year

Required Skills:
  • 6 years of experience in the field of Contract Management, Negotiations, Finance, Supply Chain, Program Management or related fields
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, finance or related field and 6 years of experience, or an advanced degree and 4 years of experience.
  • Experience in generating and negotiating complex proposals/contract.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance.

Desired Skills:
  • Experience working with FAR, DFAR, ITAR, etc. and/or equivalent government regulations
  • Experience in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, or Project)
  • Ability to problem solve, develop solutions, and support the business leaders in achieving their financial and performance goals and objectives.

Security Clearance
This position requires the eligibility to obtain security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. Security clearance factors include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the US, foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and drug involvement. Employment is contingent on other factors, including, but not limited to, background checks and drug screens.
