The Mechanical Products Team (MPT) is responsible for mechanical design, analysis, and test of all sensor and effector products across the RMD portfolio. The Mechanical Product Team uses state-of-the-art tools, processes, technology, and Raytheon Six Sigma principles.
The Configuration and Data Management(CDM) organization is responsible for ensuring our products are under configuration control and delivered on time. The CDM Organization consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers. Disciplines in the CDM organization participate in the life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. The CDM organization is comprised of Effector CM (ECM), Data Management (DM/DEX), Software Configuration Management (SWCM), and Sensor CM (SCM).
The CDM organizationis looking for a Sr Configuration Analyst, located in Tucson, AZ.
Candidate must have a proven record of accomplishment of solving complex problems, have a complete knowledge and understanding of Government, Customer, and configuration management practices and standards; must be able to work under general supervision, with minimal guidance and direction on managing and prioritizing their workload.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the coordination and administration of assigned configuration management activities relative to identification, control, verification and accounting for systems and equipment in accordance with contractual requirements
Establish procedures for, and implement the introduction of changes to engineering documents for an assigned program and represent the functional group in the implementation of common processes
Review and analyze released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities
Ensures that customer and internal configuration management requirements are implemented.
Manage change and status accounting activities to ensure compliance with contractual and configuration management policies
Implement change and status accounting activities to ensure compliance
Establish and control configuration identification processes and baselines
U.S. Citizenship status is required, as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date
Required Skills, Education, and Experience:
US Citizenship
Bachelors Degree
Minimum 4 years of professional experience
Experience in Configuration Management
Complete knowledge and understanding of configuration management principles and take an analytical approach to solving complex configuration challenges using configuration management policies, procedures and tools
Proficiency with MSOffice (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Experience with a Product Data Management (PDM) tool
Desired Skills, Education, and Experience:
Good understanding of technology and computing tools (Product Data Management or PDM tools, SAP or similar)
Solid competency in project planning
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate with various engineering disciplines to ensure data integrity and compliance with configuration management policies
Possess the necessary people skills to work effectively with all levels of management and peers
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to develop and present technical briefings to Leadership
Multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
Identify potential complex problems associated with technical engineering data, regarding configuration management issues, and take corrective action as needed
Problem solve and identify impact to other organizations
