Be a key contributor to our Mechanical Engineering team
The Mechanical Products Team (MPT) is the premier organization for mechanical hardware design, development, production and research over a broad portfolio of products including missiles, radars, sonar, torpedo and combat system equipment. MPT strives to minimize total systems cost, while maximizing production. This is achieved through commitment, training and continuous improvement using common tools and processes. The capabilities encompass a broad range of technical disciplines, which include engineering, operations, technical services, materials and processes, analysis and test and documentation.

The Configuration and Data Management (CDM) organization is responsible for ensuring our products are under configuration control and delivered on time. The CDM Organization consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers. Disciplines in the CDM organization participate in the life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. The CDM organization is comprised of Effector CM (ECM), Data Management (DM/DEX), Software Configuration Management (SWCM), and Sensor CM (SCM).

Newly opened, our Global Engineering Center - Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, is searching for a Sr. Configuration Analyst to join our elite team of engineers.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  • Lead the coordination and administration of assigned configuration management activities relative to identification, control, verification and accounting for systems and equipment in accordance with contractual requirements
  • Establish procedures for, and implement the introduction of changes to engineering documents for an assigned program and represent the functional group in the implementation of common processes
  • Review and analyze released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities
  • Ensures that customer and internal configuration management requirements are implemented.
  • Manage change and status accounting activities to ensure support of and compliance with contractual and configuration management policies
  • Implement change and status accounting activities to ensure compliance
  • Establish and control configuration identification processes and baselines

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • 2+ years of professional experience
  • Experience in Configuration Management or relatable field
  • General knowledge and understanding of configuration management principles and take an analytical approach to solving complex configuration challenges using configuration management policies, procedures and tools
  • Proficiency with MSOffice (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Fluent in Spanish and English (written and verbal)
Required Education: Bachelors degree

U.S. Citizenship is required, as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date. Only U.S. Citizens are eligible for a Security Clearance.

Qualifications We Value:
  • Good understanding of technology and computing tools (Product Data Management or PDM tools, SAP or similar)
  • Solid competency in project planning
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate with various engineering disciplines to ensure data integrity and compliance with configuration management policies

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to develop and present technical briefings to Leadership
