Job Summary:
Security - Special Access Program (SAP) Security personnel interface with customers and the government on security requirements for proprietary programs as well as providing guidance and support to employees working on such activities, helping them stay abreast of changes and updates in requirements.

The Industrial Security Specialist I will perform a wide variety of tasks as part of the Special Programs team within security primarily supporting the Visitor/Access Control and Physical Security teams. Duties include but are not limited to: maintain visitor control for meetings and symposiums to include issuing visitor credentials and escorting personnel; assist in the daily operations of conference rooms and equipment including secure communications equipment; conduct entry/exit inspections of employees and visitors; track equipment and materials entering and exiting secure facilities; maintain physical security records including Fixed Facility Checklists, Tempest Checklists and alarm test records; and investigate and report security incidents.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  • Provide customer service to internal and external customers related to access and visitor control.
  • Administering the security procedures (NISPOM, DoDM 5205.07 series, Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705, and JSIG), as they relate to operating in a classified environment for: personnel processing, media control, marking and control of documents / materials, security education, visitor control, and destruction of classified.
  • Support specialized procedures for the transmission of classified and/or proprietary material/information.
  • Conduct and/or participate in internal reviews and/or Government inspections.
  • Investigate security infractions/violations and prepare reports specifying the potential for loss or compromise and the associated risk to the program(s).
  • Maintain and execute a visitor control program.
  • Maintain Physical Security documentation and records.
  • Maintain personnel records and conduct data entry.
  • Role may involve that you work extended hours, due to fast-paced, deadline-driven office environment.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelors degree or additional 2 years of Industrial Security experience may be substituted for each 1 year of college.
  • 0-2 Years' of Industrial Security experience required.
  • An active and in-scope Secret US security clearance
  • Experience with any of the following: NISPOM, DoDM 5205.07 series, and/or ICD 705.
  • Experience in Customer Service.
  • Experience in data entry or database management.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • A valid drivers license is required, as this position may involve escorting individuals across business locations.
Qualifications We Value:
  • Degree major in Business Management, Security and/or Risk Management, Government Policy, Information Management, Criminal Justice, or other related field of study.
  • Possess a minimum of a current, final TOP SECRET security clearance with an investigation not older than 6 years on the first day of employment.
  • Experience in Physical Security.
  • Experience with Media Control and Information Security.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills; working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • At least 4 years of National Security experience preferred; administrative and office management background skills.
  • Related training with Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA), Center for Development of Security Excellence (CDSE) including, Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC).
