Job Description

This position is for a Die Sort Module Engineering role within Intel's Sort/Test Technology Development (STTD) group. As a Module Engineer within STTD, you will help deliver world-class innovations in manufacturing and process control, to develop and improve sort test equipment applications, test hardware/software, and operations systems. You will also optimize for quality, reliability, and manufacturability of your equipment set for release to high-volume manufacturing.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Own tool installs and qualification of new sort hardware
- Own process and/or module equipment transfer to other manufacturing sites
- Develop test strategies and determine critical test parameters
- Meet production quality and reliability requirements
- Work with module engineering and product development teams to improve hardware and software capability of tester equipment sets
- Plan and conduct Designs of Experiment to qualify new Sort module/process capabilities
- Develop solutions to problems utilizing formal education, statistical knowledge, and problem-solving tools

-Candidate must have willingness to solve ambiguous engineering challenges.

Candidate must exhibit the following behavioral traits/skills:

- Highly motivated and self-directed work.
- Written and verbal communication skills.
- Exposure to software testing and troubleshooting with strong scripting skills.
- Be comfortable working in factory and/or lab environment.

This is an entry level position and compensation will be given accordingly.


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.

Knowledge and/or experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work and/or classes and/or research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences

Minimum qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess a Master's degree (with 6+ months of experience) or PhD degree (with 3+ months of experience) in mechanical engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, or an equivalent Engineering degree.
