Come and join us! Intel is seeking highly qualified candidates to join our Network Platforms Group (NPG) as a Software Technical Product Manager!

The NPG Cloud Systems & Technology team is chartered as the Product Management function to enable Intel differentiating silicon and software technologies with a focus on commercial consumption, value exposure and removing obstacles to adoption. 

The teams primary focus is delivering the software building blocks of network transformation to market to meet the needs of Enterprise, Cloud and Telco verticals.  These building blocks includes Cloud Native Data Plane. CNDP, QAT, IPU / IPDK, Security, Observability, Orchestration & Automation amongst others. 

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead a cross functional, matrixed team directly tied to the architecture, development, and go-to-market in the Product Development of initiatives such as CNDP, IPU/IPDK, Tungsten Fabric & vSwitching / OVS as well as looking at how this and other software products connect to a Cloud Native Microservice architecture.
  • Designs, develops, and manages activities for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through production, release, and end of life.
  • Serves as the central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality, and marketing as the product(s) move to production and distribution. Involvement lasts throughout all stages of a product's lifecycle including modifications, upgrades and maintenance of the product or product line.
  • Works closely with product development to create products and validates product definitions with external customers and sales.
  • Uses technical expertise and extensive industry experience to formulate product strategies and identify new product opportunities.
  • Responsible for developing project plans designed to address customer needs and/or expand market share.
  • Create Go To Market (GTM) support materials for our SW Products including the use of BMRA / Experience Kits Solution Enabling, include this as part of the Go To Market collaterals.
  • Work with our industry marketing teams to create materials and branding in support of the SW Products.
  • Develop sales tools and collateral for the sales & technical field teams.
  • Once the software is launched continue to support this in-life through the product development lifecycle and sunset the offering as and when appropriate.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork, classes, research and or relevant previous job and or internship experiences.


Must have a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 5+ years of Product Management experience

 Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in Product Management in bringing products or solutions from inception through to commercial reality.  Experience in a technical Product Management role is preferable where the candidate can understand the complexities and integrities of the products they will be across such as IPU, IPDK and CNDP.
  • 3+ years experience in overseeing the development of software and bringing this software through open-source community projects and being finally adopted by commercial OSVs such as Red Hat, Canonical, SUSE & VMware.
  • 3+ years of previous experience with data plane software and Cloud Native approaches to packet processing.
  • 3+ years of Ethernet, NIC, DPU and Switch based technologies as well as associated accelerators.
  • 3+ years of previous experience driving complex integrations and to co-ordinate across teams and workstreams.
  • 3+ years experience working with Enterprise, Telecoms, Networking or Cloud technologies.

 Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with IPUs, which is an advanced networking device with hardened accelerators and Ethernet connectivity that accelerates and manages infrastructure functions using tightly coupled, dedicated, programmable cores.
  • Experience with Infrastructure Programmer Development Kit (IPDK) as an open source, vendor agnostic framework of drivers and APIs for infrastructure offload and management that runs on a CPU, IPU, DPU or switch.
  • Experience working in the context of various programming languages (e.g. Java, Python, Go, etc.)
