Job Description

Software Technical Consulting Engineers (TCE's) focus on enabling internal and external customers to be successful with Intel platforms through use of Intel Software Developer Tools. This is done through technical consulting and support, training, customer presentations, and hands on assistance in areas of code design/development, debugging, tuning and scaling software applications. TCE's contribute to new product development by representing the customers' technical requirements and by doing technical competitive analysis. For competitive performance analysis TCE's may engage in activities such as workload development, performance monitoring and performance estimations. TCE's also partner with the sales team and participate in customer visits.

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience, or Master degree with 4+ years relevant experience or PhD. with 2 or more year of experience in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Mathematics or Physics or computational science or other relevant technical engineering discipline.

  • 3 or more years with the following technical skills:

  • Engineering working experience with C/C++ or Fortran languages.

  • In-depth experience with one or more parallel programming technologies such as OpenMP, MPI, native threads, Intel Threading Building Blocks, Coarrays, etc.

  • Familiarity with Operating Systems, Computer Architecture (and/or Intel CPU architectures) and Software Optimization

  • Ability to debug large applications that may include parallel programming technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in high performance computing (HPC) segment or

  • Enterprise computing or Client Service Providers (CSP) or Embedded/IOT.

  • Experience with GPU programing language and libraries

  • Experience with Cuda programming

  • Experience with Intel Performance Analyzer VTune highly desired

  • Experience with performance libraries such as the Intel Math Kernel Library or Intel Integrated Performance Libraries

  • Working knowledge of shell scripts and the GNU tool chain on Linux and/or familiarity with the Microsoft Visual Studio build environment.

  • Customer facing experience
