The Test Equipment and Environments Center (TE&EC) is within the Systems Integration & Test directorate at RMD. The Test Equipment and Environments Center (TE&EC) includes all of the engineering disciplines responsible for systems design & test on all Raytheon Missile Defense (RMD) products. Our engineers are responsible for all elements of the development lifecycle for test including: test requirements, test system design, flight simulations, hardware-in-the-loop, computer-in-the-loop, advanced engineering prototyping technology, flight operations for manned and unmanned vehicles, environmental testing, environmental characterization and engineering laboratory management. We are hands-on, designing with the latest technology and tools, and integrate state of the art test solutions with the most advanced engineering systems in the world.

This position is for a Software Sr. Principle Engineer, who has the educational and professional experience in the leadership, development, and implementation of software team's and applications. Contributing to the development of new principles and concepts, resolving unusually complex technical software problems, providing solutions that are innovative and provide rapid and efficient test environments. Assignments are often self-initiated and the candidate determines and pursues courses of action necessary to obtain desired results. Follows or recommends changes to department processes and procedures. Reviews software products for soundness of technical judgment and adequacy. Provides guidance and mentoring to up-and-coming engineers. Develops advanced technological ideas and guides their development into a final product. Serves as a team lead and spokesperson on advanced projects and programs.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of (10) ten years of prior experience
  • Previous work experience designing and testing software, using C++ or C# or other closely related software languages
  • Previous work experience in computer scripting languages such as Linux
  • Prior professional experience developing software for real-time control of events and/or synchronization
  • US Citizenship required

The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
