We are looking for a Software Performance Engineering Manager with a strong systems architecture or performance engineering background that will contribute to a fast paced team focused on performance analysis of Intel products. Engineering managers in this role will direct a team of performance engineers responsible for working with cross-functional teams including processor architecture, software engineering and product marketing to develop workloads to set competitive performance targets, to optimize performance, and to demonstrate product advantages.


Your team's responsibilities will include:

Identifying, measuring and analyzing the performance of workloads based on real world usages like photo/video editing using Adobe Creative Cloud or office productivity using Microsoft Office; Automation of targeted workloads using C#, C++, Python and/or AutoIT; Identifying performance bottlenecks and implementing software optimizations to improve workload performance.


The engineering manager in this role also provides technical leadership and collaborates with external partners, domain experts, architects, and business unit stakeholders. Sets priorities for the team, achieves results across boundaries, ensures an inclusive work environment, develops employees, and manages performance.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's with 6+ years, Master's with 4+ years, or PhD with 2+ years of relevant industry experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

3+ years of experience in leading or managing and driving software architecture, engineering or development teams with the following skills:
- Firm understanding of software engineering practices including development models, configuration management, product release, documentation, sustaining/support, and customer satisfaction
- Excellent Software design and development skills in C#/C++ and Python
- Experience with performance engineering, HW or SW system performance profiling and software optimization
- Computer architecture knowledge including vector, multicore, and memory hierarchy and understanding of Linux/Windows OS architecture
- Experience with software performance tools and methodologies such as Intel VTune and Windows Performance Monitor

People and leadership skills in engineering teams:
- Experience with excellent development practices and high quality and high velocity engineering methods.
- Skilled at gathering insights from key stakeholders and influencing to align organizational goals
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
