NSA Overview
The professionals at the National Security Agency (NSA) have one common goal: to protect our nation. The mission requires a strong offense and a steadfast defense. The offense collects, processes and disseminates intelligence information derived from foreign signals for intelligence and counterintelligence purposes. The defense prevents adversaries from gaining access to sensitive classified national security information.
Software/Hardware Project Managers deliver software and/or hardware products and services by determining needs, assessing and tracking system requirements and project statuses. They are responsible for identifying and tracking milestones, planning, allocating resources, and projecting and tracking costs and schedules. They articulate vital project statuses to senior leadership, decision makers, and stakeholders in the form of briefings and written reports.
Description of the Position
Software/Hardware Project Mangers play a vital role by:
1. engaging with customers to identify needs and develop requirements
2. assessing and tracking system requirements and project status
3. identifying and tracking project milestones
4. planning and allocating resources
5. projecting and tracking costs and schedules
6. articulating project status to decision makers and stakeholders
