Job Description

We are looking for a manager for a team of 5+ engineers who develop software for advanced computer architecture pathfinding and applied research. The team develops SW stacks from the ground up for novel architectures, testing those SW stacks on FPGAs and prototype hardware and porting SW applications frameworks to the new architectures.

As a manager, you will set priorities for the team, get results across boundaries, ensure an inclusive work environment, develop employees, and manage performance. You will also provide architectural and technical guidance, and ensure that sound engineering practices are followed.


The Extreme-Scale Computing (ESC) team develops advanced architectures in collaboration with customers.

We have a HW-SW co-development model covering the full SW stack from applied ML to ML / DL and acceleration for emerging application like sparse graph processing, which are the future of AI. It is an organization with a strong technical atmosphere, innovation, friendly team-work spirit, and engineers with diverse backgrounds.

  • Ability to interact with various stakeholders including silicon teams and program managers



You must possess the minimum qualifications below to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's with 8+ years, Master's with 5+ years, or PhD with 3+ years of relevant industry experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field


3 years of experience in leading and driving small software architecture, engineering or development teams with the following skills:

  • Firm understanding of software engineering practices including development models, configuration management, product release, documentation, sustaining/support, and customer satisfaction
  • Excellent SW development skills
  • Experience with low-level software development and optimization of computation and memory for performance
  • Experience with programming and debugging applications on Linux systems including multithreaded applications
  • Computer architecture knowledge including vector, multicore, and memory hierarchy


Preferred Qualifications:


More extensive experience with low-level software development and optimization of computation and memory for high performance on parallel HW

  • Experience with:
  • Performance analysis on Intel CPU, GPU
  • HPC applications and distributed computing
  • Compiler optimization development
  • Using high-performance math libraries
  • Designing APIs, especially user visible APIs
