Job Description

Join the Tapeout team and be a part of the Silicon Manufacturing chain at Intel. Tapeout is the first step in Silicon Manufacturing of all chips and technologies at Intel.

We are looking for a software engineering who will be responsible to manage internal, and partner/stakeholder requests for 'tapeout data' and integrated system development. Also you will define, configure, test, and develop applications that enable new technology manufacturing, generate data on a large scale, automate compute processes, or improve cost/stability of compute processes.
In this role, you are expected to support the entire software lifecycle including existing tool support and triage, new feature or continuous improvement projects, and new tool definition and development.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Configuring applications or databases to enable technology and generate data for product introduction to manufacturing.

  • Testing and deploying changes to current and new software applications

  • Linux software application development or enhancement across a wide range of use cases

  • Work with adjacent engineering teams by absorbing project requirements, defining project plans, communicating project status, analyzing large data sets, and constructing retrospectives for continuous improvement.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess a Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer or Computer Science Engineering, or Electrical Engineering (A degree in Physics, Mathematics, or Information Science with an emphasis on Computer Science could also be acceptable)

  • +2 years of working experience with software development in multiple programming languages (example: Ruby, Python, C/C++, Java)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the following:

  • Web Interfaces such as Javascript, VueJS, Rails, Django

  • Database architecture and languages such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB

  • Integrated Circuit Design concepts (Simulation, Layout, Verification)

  • Semiconductor Manufacturing concepts (Lithography, Wafer Fabrication)

  • Linux and Windows Operating systems and system functions

  • Project management, project planning, information systems management, and computer information systems

  • Distributed computing and datacenter system architecture

  • Circuit Physical Design automation applications that run in a Linux environment
