Job Description

The Electromagnetic Applications Laboratory (SEAL) of the Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) is seeking technical personnel to support development, integration and testing of radar data processing algorithms. The Software Engineer will work on event-based message translation from content style messages to bit level message translation and removing an existing medium fidelity model from a MATLAB based simulation into a stand-alone MEX file model that will interface with C++ messages.

Education & Length of Experience

Research Engineer/Scientist/Technologist I

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study.

Research Engineer/Scientist/Technologist II

  • A Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study and three (3) years of relevant full-time experience after completion of that degree,
  • A Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study and five (5) years of relevant full-time experience after completion of a Bachelor’s degree, or
  • A Doctoral degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study.

Required Minimum Qualifications

  • Candidate must be very proficient in MATLAB and comfortable coding in large scale modeling and simulation tools
  • Software development experience and proficiency with C++
  • Software development experience and proficiency with MEX interface
  • Familiarity with an event-based framework
  • Experience with integration/test in a RedHat Linux environment
  • Candidate must be an excellent communicator and willing to brief work to outside organizations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in version control software such as GIT are a plus
