The Accessibility+Machine Learning Group is looking you! For this role, we seek innovative and hardworking software engineers to help conduct research related to the next generation of accessibility products at Apple. Accessibility brings together many exciting areas within computer science (voice interaction, computer vision, natural language processing, etc.), with the goal of enabling our devices and software to be used by everyone. As a hardworking engineer on the team, you can work with our group of innovative engineers to both quickly develop prototypes of new interactive experiences and transition them toward production

Key Qualifications

  • Ability to understand and build performant Object-Oriented software
  • Ability to resolve ambiguity while developing novel interactive systems
  • Ability to pursue and take on complex problems
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Bonus Qualification:
  • Experience with UIKit or AppKit APIs
  • Experience with Accessibility APIs (any platform)
  • Working knowledge of machine learning and human-computer interaction
  • Experience with research (especially accessibility and/or technical human-computer interaction)

You contribute to the lifecycle of innovation, both on projects that will ship soon and projects intended to help set the direction of five+ years out. You will work with a forward-thinking team to contribute to a meaningful social mission, and work with partner teams across Apple to ensure project relevance. At the same time, your work will help advance technical solutions for problems at the core of what it will mean for everyone to interact with future intelligent systems

Education & Experience

Masters or Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
