Job Description:
If you have a degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Mathematics with an emphasis on software, here is your opportunity to pursue an exciting career with Raytheon!


If you want to apply your engineering knowledge and skills to build complex, real-time software which controls highly sophisticated defense and civil systems which are currently deployed in more than 80 countries around the globe, then the Software Products Engineering (SPE) directorate within Raytheon Missiles and Defense is the place for you.

SPE is the central focus for real-time software development, integration, testing, and validation activities for RMDs core capabilities. Mission Areas within Raytheon Technologies RMD business include Advance Technology, Land Warfare and Air Defense, Naval Power, Air Power, and Strategic Missile Defense.


U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment.


Required Education/Skills: (No more than 3 job specific skills. Make sure they are objective skills.)
  • Candidate must currently be enrolled in an undergraduate (or completed a degree no more than 18 months prior to start date) with an emphasis on Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related STEM field.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required

Desired Skills:
  • ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. 3.0 cumulative GPA desired
  • Candidate must currently be enrolled in an undergraduate (or completed a degree no more than 18 months prior to start date) with an emphasis on Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related STEM field.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures
  • Demonstrated ability to work with colleagues who represent a diversity of work and conflict resolution styles


Location: Fort Wayne is a city in northeastern Indiana. The Foellinger-Freimann Botanical Conservatory has indoor tropical, desert and showcase gardens, plus outdoor areas. American painting and sculpture are the focus at Fort Wayne Museum of Art. The 1860 Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception has 19th-century stained glass. Animal habitats at Fort Wayne Childrens Zoo include an African savannah and an Indonesian rainforest.
