OVERVIEW OF DEPARTMENT:
The IS&T Customer Systems team delivers key applications used in Apple's Global sites, including the Contact Engineering platform and its integrations with other Contact technology tools.

This role is part of the exciting newly expanded Contact Engineering team.

  • TECHNICALLY, YOU HAVE:
  • - Proficiency with Java, Java Script, JDBC, Spring, and Reactive models
  • - Understanding of cloud-native architectures, microservices, and open API's
  • - Experience with Genesys API's and/or voice stack is a plus
  • - Experience in established as well as emerging cloud computing technologies
  • - Strong understanding of application integration patterns, including REST APIs and messaging middleware
  • - Understanding of application containerization such as Docker, and orchestration such as Kubernetes
  • - Understanding of modern authentication and authorization patterns such as OAuth and SAML
  • - Proficient with writing support and procedure diagrams, graphs and documentation
  • - Experience in large enterprise & global engineering, development and support
  • - Experience integrating with and managing Continuous Integration & Delivery workflows
  • - Experience working with version controls systems such as Git
  • - Knowledge of VoIP/SIP Application Security (TLS)

Description

OVERVIEW OF ROLE:
The role is based at Apple's Austin offices

The successful applicant will have a strong technical background be committed to customer experience, be a strong leader and advocate for the global team, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

No day at Apple is the same, but key responsibilities for the role include:
Unique opportunity to develop and implement technology vision; create direction partnering with business
Exceptional opportunity to lead and work with global engineers
Product ownership and management of the Voice services that include voice messaging services, outbound services and SIP framework for iOS & macOS
Help drive cloud transformation strategy (Architect across inbound, outbound, IVR, SIP, etc.)
Deliver artifacts, technical alternatives and architectural designs that meet business requirements
Collaborate with members of the backend development team for technical delivery
Responsible for the tools to monitor, alert, and troubleshoot the solutions
Involved with optimizing Web Services and micro services platform
Product owner of backend services and SIP framework that embeds voice within apps and web. Ownership comes with operational excellence that require mitigation, resolution, followup for impactful incidents and providing support

Education & Experience

BS in Computer Science, or another highly related field
