Job Description

This position is for a software development engineer in the System Content team. Developer will work with the critical content generation tool, Dragon. Dragon is the primary tool for providing x64 IA Core Architecture test content across all segments, and is used throughout the post-Silicon Validation and Manufacturing process. Developer will also have the opportunity to work in a broader tools and infrastructure organization which is promoting new industry methodologies and innovative software solutions.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Enhancing and developing Dragon Test methods to comprehend new IA Architectures-Interfacing with Design/Architecture to understand technical impact of future product Architectures
  • Defining and communicating the Test strategy to Internal customers
  • Verifying correct behavior via offline simulation/emulation capabilities
  • Partnering with internal customer teams to enable and debug Dragon tests on physical Silicon
  • Improving overall Dragon Tool and Dragon Test efficiency

In addition to the qualifications listed below, the ideal candidate will also have:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Problem-solving skills


Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field with 3+ years experience -OR- a Master of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field with 2+ years experience in the following:

  • At least one of C++/C#/Java Proficiency with the Visual Studio. NET environment
  • Strong hands-on debugging skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in:

  • IA Architecture, preferably in the context of Test Writing. Understanding of assembly desired
  • Validation and bare metal content development
  • High Volume Manufacturing HVM flows, and Post-Silicon Testing
  • Scrum/Agile environment
