Role Number:200221466

Apple seeks an extraordinary Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to drive validation efforts for highly complex and massive security initiatives. The SDET is a technical software engineer experienced in building test plans and writing software applications to automate testing of security features. You will work with other quality assurance and software engineers to strategize, develop, and execute high quality test plans.

Key Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience working as a Software QA Automation Engineer
• Proficiency in Python (or other scripting language) and preferably one of the following programming languages: Swift, Objective C
• Excellent understanding of software development and QA methodologies
• Strong interpersonal skills, both oral and written
• Exceptional collaborative skills including networking, negotiating, documentation, and presentation skills
• Comfortable and adaptable in a fast-paced and informal environment. Ability to respond and react to changing priorities quickly and efficiently
• Demonstrate strong critical thinking, debugging and troubleshooting skills
• Experience developing and executing test plans for software projects with manual and automated testing

The work will involve designing and implementing test plans for Security features and requires strong analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skills. Some of the key responsibilities in this role will include:

* Create and get consensus on project plans and project concepts
* Develop detailed and methodical manual and automated test plans
* Implement automated tests, developing tools and frameworks where needed
* Work with engineering teams to deeply understand their technology and develop test plans around it
* Debug and report issues encountered during testing
* Help triage the team's daily automation results.
* Define requirements for shipping high quality features

Education & Experience

BS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience

Additional Requirements

• Test Framework development experience a plus
• Familiarity with operating system and internet security technologies
• Experience with C, Objective-C and/or Swift a plus
