The Mechanical Products Team (MPT) is responsible for mechanical design, analysis, and test of all sensor and effector products across the RMD portfolio. The Mechanical Product Team uses state-of-the-art tools, processes, technology, and Raytheon Six Sigma principles.
The Configuration and Data Management(CDM) organization is responsible for ensuring our products are under configuration control and delivered on time. The CDM Organization consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers. Disciplines in the CDM organization participate in the life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. The CDM organization is comprised of Effector CM (ECM), Data Management (DM/DEX), Software Configuration Management (SWCM), and Sensor CM (SCM).
The Software Configuration Management (SWCM) department follows the basic principles of Configuration Management. SWCM establishes and maintains integrity for all digital products throughout the entire life cycle. SWCM provides innovative solutions through automation, continuous improvement, and a skilled workforce providing support for all digital computing products: embedded software, firmware/configurable logic, test equipment, simulation, Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and tools.
The SWCM department is looking for a Software Configuration Management Section Leader, located in Tucson, AZ.
Responsibilities to Anticipate
Ensuring the team meets program cost and schedule commitments
Supporting mission area and/or program reviews as the SWCM Subject Matter Expert (SME)
SWCM mission area / program POC for discipline issues and/or road blocks
Identifying and elevating, when required, technical execution risks (includes technical discipline, technical performance, cost and schedule performance) to program and functional management
Ensuring the team is knowledgeable of and demonstrates disciplined process and tool adherence
Utilization of measures that provide program and functional management insight into the health of the team's technical execution
Leadership Responsibilities:
Timely, honest, unbiased performance evaluation, and career development discussions (including plans for employee growth/improvement)
Mentor/coach, technically and personally, to ensure employee success
Creating a diverse, collaborative team and providing an open environment for innovation and growth

Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in engineering disciplines, natural or physical sciences, mathematics, physics, computer science, management information systems, or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) field.
8 years professional engineering and configuration management experience
Experience with version control, change management, and/or agile planning tool(s), in particular, experience with either/or: IBM Rational Synergy, Rational Team Concert, and/or Azure DevOps Server (ADS) - Git
SWCM, Information Technology (IT), and/or software development experience
Solid proficiency in Windows and Unix/Linux Operating Systems
An active and in-scope DoDUS security clearance
Qualifications We Value:
Working knowledge of the SEI Capability Maturity Model (CMM) and SEI Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) and experience with SWCM process definition and implementation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Capable of solving complex problems, sharing knowledge and documenting work
Administrator knowledge/experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps Server (ADS) - Git
Strong knowledge and experience with Agile, DevSecOps, Continuous Improvement, Continuous Integration and/or Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) development concepts
Strong customer service skills; friendly, approachable, motivated, with a strong work ethic
Experience with automation and scripting languages (i.e. Perl, Python, Ruby, YAML, shell, batch, etc.)
Previous experience leading teams of 5-20 employees
Experience with PC software applications to include Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
