The Programmable Solutions Group at Intel is building heterogeneous accelerator architectures with Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs). We help to accelerate the performance of workloads typically run in the Data Center and Edge by orders of magnitude. As a key member of Programmable Solution Group (PSG) power team, you will be responsible for all aspects of FPGA power analysis and optimization.

In the role of SOC Design Power Engineer, your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Conduct power and performance analysis, power model generation, and maintenance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system level power optimization solutions
  • Provide power targets to design teams while serving as product power to meet business goals
  • Manage the flow development to enable efficient and accurate power analysis


Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Education Requirement

Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in digital design
  • 5+ years of experience in chip and system level power and performance tradeoff and optimization
  • 5+ years of experience in cycles of deep submicron product development, 18nm and below, from RTL to GDS
  • 5+ years of experience in power model generation, chip power management, and low power strategy
  • 5+ years of experience in power implementation and analysis tools such as DC, ICC, Redhawk, IR/EM, PTPX, UPF and Spice
  • 5+ years of experience on flow or tool development using Python/Perl/Tcl or C/C++

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • Expertise in power analysis and model generation
  • Experience on following protocols or domains: DDR, PCIe, Ethernet, HBM, ARM and FPGA
  • Experience in technical project execution
