Are you looking for an exciting, challenging and rewarding role in compute architecture?   

The Intel Design Engineering Group is looking for Performance Architects to join the team.  You will work hand in hand with design, validation, and architecture teams to deliver best-in-class performance, power and innovations across the XEON CPU portfolio.  As a Performance Architect, you will enable performance and power features at both the architectural and micro-architectural levels to create cutting-edge, industry leading products.  You will work in a team environment that sets the architectural direction across the entire roadmap future datacenter CPUs.   The ideal candidate will have experience in computer architecture, performance analysis, power analysis and software engineering

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • SOC performance and performance/watt modeling, studies, analysis
  • Conducting forward looking research and development for next generation server processors
  • Understanding usage models and develop key performance and performance/watt indicators
  • Defining, planning, and scoping the performance modeling, studies, and analysis work with predictable well-communicated execution timelines
  • Identifying, mapping architectural and micro-architectural features to their power and performance impacts
  • Setting requirements for and works to continuously improve power and performance modeling infrastructure

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent with 4+ years of experience. OR a Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering with 2+ plus years of related industry experience. OR a PhD in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering with 1+ years of related industry experience:

Your experience should be in one or more of the following:

  • 2+ years of experience in SoC Performance Architecture Modeling and Analysis

Preferred skills and experience that will make you stand out:

  • Understanding of datacenter benchmarks and workloads
  • Experience with multi-socket or multi-core cache coherency
  • Understanding of server platform architecture
  • Experience with software engineering practices

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado:
$111,000.00-$166,390.00
