Job Description

Intel's Datacenter Processor Architecture Team is looking for an experienced SoC architect for a key role in defining the future of computing SoCs for the datacenter.

The architect will work closely with product architects, SoC architects, firmware, design and verification teams at Intel and will be responsible for driving continuous improvement of SoC architecture, reducing development cost and risk, improving end-user quality.

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Supporting architecture, design, and validation efforts throughout the entire product life cycle
  • Understanding how different aspects of SoC architecture interwork and how this affects product development cost and product quality
  • Devising architectural features that improve modularity, reuse and industry-compatibility without compromising performance, power, area, and cost

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications


Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering or related discipline and 9+ years of experience in/with: - OR - a Master's degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering or related discipline and 6+ years of experience in/with: - OR - a PhD degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering or related discipline and 5+ years of experience in/with:

  • SoC architecture, design and validation in the semiconductor industry
  • Multiple domains of the SoC architecture, datacenter product concepts, and compute protocols and interfaces standards
  • Industry standards, tools and SoC design methodologies and manufacturing processes


Preferred Qualifications

Experience with:

  • Developing SoCs and IPs based on industry standard interface and protocol standards
  • Power/performance trade-offs, modular architecture/design, IO and interconnects, memory and caching architectures
  • SoC startup, configuration, reset, clocking, security architectures
  • SW/HW interfaces and FW/HW interfaces
