Job Description

In this role you will be part for the Networking and Xeon Solution (NXS) design team working on the next-generation Server and Networking product SOCs.

Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Oversees definition, design, verification, and documentation for SoC (System on a Chip) development.
  • Determines architecture design, logic design, and system simulation.
  • Defines module interfaces/formats for simulation.
  • Performs Logic design for integration of cell libraries, functional units and subsystems into SoC full chip designs, Register Transfer Level coding, and simulation for SoCs.
  • Contributes to the development of multidimensional designs involving the layout of complex integrated circuits.
  • Performs all aspects of the SoC design flow from high-level design to synthesis, place and route, timing and power to create a design database that is ready for manufacturing.
  • Analyzes equipment to establish operation infrastructure, conducts experimental tests, and evaluates results.
  • May also review vendor capability to support development.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science and 4+ years experience - OR - a Master's degree in the same fields with 3+ years experience with/in:

  • SoC Design flows from micro-architecture to structural design
  • Hands-on RTL implementation, IP integration, RTL releases meeting the quality checks, which include: Linting, CDC, synthesizability, constraints
  • Digital design basics and experience in System Verilog coding
  • User of standard Server and ASIC EDA tools like VCS, Lint, CDC, DC, Spyglass, LEC, Fishtail, etc.
  • Pre Post Silicon validation process low power methodologies
  • HDL and SV based design and verification tools and flows
  • Knowledge of Verilog System Verilog UVM Testbenches development
  • Understanding of code functional coverage system Verilog assertion coding
  • General Scripting and programming skills Python, Perl, CC etc
  • Strong knowledge of SoC tools methodology Saola ACE VCS etc functional coverage development analysis
  • SoC or IP for SoC RTL design or pre-silicon validation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong scripting/coding skills, Unix user expertise, Bug filing systems, etc.
