About the team

You will be part of Intel Advanced Design Organization (AD) within Design Enablement (DE), focused on pathfinding and development of advanced memory and circuit technology to enable best in class memory collateral and product design across all generations of Intel process technology. Our AD organization delivers critical technology and design collaterals to enable future product designs, develops the 1st chips for all new Intel technology nodes, ensure process and design enablement are robust for high volume product manufacturing.

As a part of the SoC Design and Methodology team, you will be working on defining and implementing designs for the latest silicon technology using industry standard tools.

About the role

As an SoC Design Engineer, youll be responsible but not limited to the following:

  • Oversees definition, design, verification, and documentation for SoC (System on a Chip) development
  • Determines architecture design, logic design, and system simulation
  • Defines module interfaces/formats for simulation
  • Performs Logic design for integration of cell libraries, functional units and subsystems into SoC full chip designs, Register Transfer Level coding, and simulation for SoCs
  • Contributes to the development of multidimensional designs involving the layout of complex integrated circuits
  • Performs all aspects of the SoC design flow from high level design to synthesis, place and route, timing and power to create a design database that is ready for manufacturing
  • Analyzes equipment to establish operation infrastructure, conducts experimental tests, and evaluates results
  • May also review vendor capability to support development

This is an entry level position and compensation will be given accordingly.


You must possess the below requirements to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork and/or classes and/or research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Electrical, Computer Engineering with 2+ years in semiconductor industry experience OR Master's in Electrical, Computer Engineering with 1+ years in semiconductor industry experience

Experience in the following specific areas:

  • RTL design and verification experience
  • Understanding of methodologies for physical design and SOC and/or IP designs
  • Tape in, tape out experience
  • Working knowledge of Floor planning, CTS and routing in the Auto Place and route (APR) domains
  • SoC Tools and flows methodologies (TFM)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ASIC-based designs
  • Experience implementing new flows based on industry-standard tools
  • Physical design convergence
  • Developing timing constraints
  • Experience with industry-standard RTL tools
