Job Description

As an integral part of Intel's new IDM2.0 strategy, we are establishing Intel Foundry Services (IFS), a fully vertical, standalone foundry business, reporting directly to the CEO. IFS will be a world-class foundry business and major provider of US and European-based capacity to serve customers globally. Intel Foundry Services will be differentiated from other Foundry offerings with a combination of leading-edge packaging and process technology, committed capacity in the US and Europe - available for customers globally - and a world-class IP portfolio that customers can choose from including x86 cores, graphics, media, display, AI, interconnect, fabric and other critical foundational IP, along with Arm and RISC-V ecosystem IPs. IFS will also provide access to silicon design services to help our customers seamlessly turn silicon into solutions, using industry-standard design packages.

The IFS Foundry Engineering Technology and Customer Engineering team is looking for dynamic engineers who can design/validate custom logic blocks, collaborate with internal teams, who can design/validate custom logic blocks, collaborate with internal teams, document micro-architecture and implement the design using System Verilog/RTL.


Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop micro-architecture based on a high level architecture definition.

  • Develop custom IP Blocks: Document internal micro-architecture and implement the design using System Verilog/RTL.

  • Active involvement in the design verification effort.

  • Active involvement in hardware modeling and simulation, random and focused stimulus generation and coverage.

  • Develop timing constraints and support statis timing analysis.

  • Demonstrate excellent communication, leadership and teamwork skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent and 3+ years of industry experience computer architecture/micro-architecture in logic design using Verilog/System Verilog)

  • Experience coursework in RTL, Verilog, System Verilog or similar

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.

  • Knowledge in understanding of Static Timing Analysis (STA).

  • Knowledge in multiple clock domain designs, clock crossing structures.

  • Knowledge in low power design, coarse/fine grain clock gating.

  • Knowledge in ASIC validation methodology, Verilog testbenches, UVM.

  • Expertise in Unix shell, Python and Perl scripting.

  • Experience in simulation/debug tools: VCS, Verdi
